Floret Seeds Now Available!

Written by

Today is the day we’ve all been waiting for! Earlier today The Floret Shop re-opened with all of our favorite seeds and dahlias. There are so many new treasures to be found!

Our 2018 line of Floret Seeds includes nearly 100 new seed varieties and 40 new coveted dahlia cultivars. There are so many new treasures to be found, with china asters, uniquely colored calendula and poppies making their debut.

We have grown thousands of different flowers in search of the very best varieties for cut flower production, particularly those that are easy to grow, have long stems, a great vase-life, unique coloring, and a delicate appearance or fragrance. The flowers featured in the Floret Shop are all ones that we grow, love, and highly recommend.

The response so far has been beyond our expectations and many products sold out immediately. We quadrupled our dahlia tuber quantities from last year but many have already sold out. I am so sorry if you missed ones that you were hoping for!

**Please note that we are unable to ship dahlias outside of the United States.**  No exceptions. If you live outside the United States and check out with dahlias in your cart, your entire order will be refunded. Dahlias do not ship until April in order to protect them from cold damage in transit. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate requests to ship early.

Floret Seeds can be shipped to Canada, all countries in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Iceland. Australia has a 50 packet limit. View our Shipping page for more details.

Lastly, products that are listed as “Sold Out” will not be restocked in 2018. Products listed “Coming Soon” will be available later this winter. Be sure to click the “Notify Me” button on any Coming Soon product that you are interested and you will be the first to know when it’s back in stock.

After so many months of hard work, we are so excited to finally be able to share these incredible varieties with you. Here’s to an abundant and flower-filled 2018!

Hello, I just found out about Floret’s And and I’m so excited to get started. I am disabled and it will be a challenge but I’m up for it. With all the information you have provided me on your website I feel very confident I can do it. I have a dear friend that is suffering from cancer and is a girl with a green thumb I know she’s grown dahlias but I like to find something unusual for her to get her excited about gardening this year while she’s going through chemo. What would you recommend? Unfortunately I think all your dahlia seeds are sold out? Am I correct? Thank you for taking my question and I’m waiting for your response, Shar on

On our shop page there’s a Seed Recommendations tab that shares easy to grow flowers we recommend. I hope your friend gets well and enjoys growing flowers!

Hi! I am in love with all things Floret and am starting my own cut flower garden here in Wisconsin this 2018 season. We have purchased many of your seeds and I am in the process of planning for planting/when we should expect blooms. I was hoping you could help me clarify what you mean by days to maturity for example:

    Purchased Carnation ‘Chabaud La France’
    Dianthus caryophyllus

Our last frost date for 2018 is May 20th and you say to start seeds indoors 10-12 weeks prior to last frost. We would start the seeds indoors @ 12 weeks prior around 2/25 and would plant in the ground on 5/20. With 130-140 days to maturity does this mean we should expect to see blooms 130-140 days from when we started the seeds inside on 2/25 or 130-140 days from the time we put them in the ground on 5/20?

Thanks so much for any insight, I understand these are estimates as well!

Hi Chloe– congrats on starting your own cut flower garden, that’s wonderful! You should expect to see blooms approximately 130-140 days from germination. Have a great season!

Just in love for your work and farm:) Congratulation for all the team!!!

I’m from Portugal and for years I saw my grandparents planting dahlias in such beauty colors, but now I have problems in finding dahlias bulbs. Do you have any idea where I can find dahlias quality bulbs in Europe? It’s a shame you can’t send it to Portugal…
