Our dear friend Carl Jaegel took this beautiful photo (titled Field of Dreams) a few weeks back in the Ranunculus greenhouse. I absolutely LOVE how he captured the colors and magical feel of the flowers.
I picked the final Ranunc’s last night. I had hoped to eek out another week or two but with warmer temps the blooms are starting to show signs of heat dammage so its time to retire them. It’s always so sad to see this crop go as it is a true favorite of mine.

Beautiful. It reminds me of the other-wordly gradients of color you see when you look out into the depths of a clear lake or the ocean while underwater. Thank you for sharing- these guys will be missed.
Good thing we have your Temptress poppies to solace us during this time of ranunculus loss!

Hi Erin
What an absolutely stunning photo, showing one of my favourite flowers! I love the mixture of orange, pink and red colours.

Deamlike indeed. Blissful pic. You should be so proud of the beauty you grow so well. x

Gorgeous photo! I have grown ranunculus for the first time this year but so far have only had 10 blooms – think our climate might not be quite so good for them as yours! Jan
