Dusk

Written by

To me there isn’t a prettier time of day than dusk. Seemingly ordinary things are transformed as the sun sets and throws its golden glow throughout the garden.

Another cold front is set to hit our area soon. There are already a few snowflakes falling and the sky is once again dark grey. I am lucky to get to spend the day in our warm, bright propagation room sowing another round of seeds.

The Sweet Peas are already up and Snapdragons, Queen Anne’s Lace, Bupleurum, Calendula and Larkspur aren’t far behind.

With so many hours of sowing  I have been regularly getting lost in dreams of the season to come. It still amazes me that a tiny packet of seed resembling nothing more than dust can, in a few short months, become a field of flowers. Nature is amazing!
