The last few days the team and I have been busy clipping and prepping for this weekend’s Floret Workshop. It will be our first Seasonal Floral Intensive of the year and we’ll be spending three amazing days surrounded by incredible seasonal blooms and exploring natural design techniques together in a beautifully restored historic barn. It’s going to be epic! I can’t wait to welcome the 20 lovely ladies that are coming from across the continent to be with us. One of my favorite moments is when I set them loose to cut as many flowers as they can carry from our fields. I love hanging back and watching their reactions and hearing their joyful reactions (and squeals!) when discovering different flowers.
In addition to playing with lots and lots of pillowy, ultra fragrant peonies, there are many flowers just starting to bloom this week including a hoophouse full of sweet peas, plus long rows of nigella, campanula, foxgloves and ammi (A special cut flower variety of Queen Anne’s Lace). I love the airy, lacy look of a big ole’ armload of ammi. It could be a bouquet all by itself.
Here are a few of my favorite Seasonal Flower Alliance submissions from this week:

2) Tag. Upload your photo to Instagram with the hashtag #SeasonalFlowerAlliance
