The most exciting thing ever is happening here next month!!! Brooklyn based floral designer Amy Merrick is coming out west to co-teach a floral workshop with me August 24th and 25th. We will spend two days elbows deep in local flowers both from my garden and a number of other specialty farms in the area.
The class will take place just a few miles down the road at our good friends historic farmhouse and barn. It’s the perfect setting for this floral extravaganza! The first morning of the workshop students will be shuttled over to our garden and have a chance to harvest buckets of dahlias from our massive patch of 3,500 plants! From there we will head back to the farmhouse and spend the next two days creating seasonally inspired arrangements, learning the basics of floral photography and so much more.
