Scholarships

I spent the first few years learning how to grow flowers largely through trial and error. I failed way more than I succeeded and for the first few years, I really thought about quitting every single day. I spent so many hours walking circles in our tiny garage while making thousands of mixed bouquets, waiting for the day I could finally leave the farm and go learn from others. Every time a class or workshop was announced my heart would ache because I just couldn’t afford it.

My future changed the day I got an email from one of my floral heroes, offering me a slot at an upcoming workshop. Having someone who I admired so deeply believe in me helped me believe in myself. That act of generosity felt like getting permission to finally go after all of the dreams that I had put on hold for so long.

I have tried my best to infuse her generous legacy into everything we do and our scholarship program is my very favorite way of paying it forward.

Since hosting our very first on-farm workshop in 2013, we’ve awarded hundreds of full and partial scholarships to individuals and organizations all around the world. Scholarship winners from diverse backgrounds and circumstances have taken what they’ve learned from the workshop to achieve their goals and give back to their communities in big ways and small.  

Floret will award a total of 20 full scholarships. Each scholarship recipient will receive tuition-free enrollment in the 2027 Flower Farming Workshop, which starts in January. 

Applications will be accepted September 22–29, 2026. The application link will be available on this page starting on September 22. The deadline to apply is September 29 at 5 p.m. PT. 

Winners will be notified by email and announced on the website on October 14.  

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

The scholarship is intended for those who have a financial need. Please apply only if the cost of the workshop is out of reach for you at this time.  

Scholarships are available to people of all races, ages, gender identities, and education levels. 

Applicants from anywhere in the world are welcome to apply.

Previous applicants are strongly encouraged to re-apply.

HOW TO APPLY:

The application process is simple. In addition to providing some basic details about yourself or your organization, please be prepared to provide short answers (250 words or less) to the following in your own words: 

Tell us about yourself and your flower business, organization, or cause. Please share any additional details that may be relevant to your application (i.e., community impact, financial need, local wages, currency conversion, etc.).

What interests you most about Floret’s Flower Farming Workshop? How will the workshop help you accomplish your goals?

Scholarships will be awarded to applicants who best illustrate how the course will allow them to achieve their goals and clearly show how they will continue to pay it forward.
