Seasonal Floral Intensive – Peonies

Floret Flower Farm, Mount Vernon, WA, 98273

Join us for a beautiful three-day intensive in Washington’s beautiful Skagit Valley June 9, 10, & 11, 2017.

Created especially for established or aspiring floral designers, this workshop focuses on the fine art of natural floral design and event styling utilizing the freshest, highest-quality seasonal flowers.

Floret’s fields will be overflowing with an abundance of flowers that evoke a Dutch still life painting. Row after row of fragrant sweet peas, foxglove and garden roses and other nostalgic varieties will be in full, rolling bloom. In addition to truckloads of flowers from Floret, participants will have access to hundreds of peonies from another flower farmer in the region.

Normally closed to the public, you will have exclusive access to Floret’s fields, extensive cutting gardens and greenhouses to select from dozens of varieties of organic flowers, as well as fruiting branches, wispy, romantic vines, and fragrant foliage.

The beautifully restored barn at the historic A. J. Johnson Farm serves as the creative space for all of the instructional sessions where you will learn Erin’s distinctive approach to creating artistic hand-tied bouquets, lush centerpieces, large-scale arrangements, boutonnieres and flower crowns. Through demonstrations, discussions and hands-on practice, you will learn natural floral design techniques that evoke the feeling and mood of the season.

We strive to create a warm, welcoming and abundantly beautiful environment to re-charge your creativity, explore your passion, and refine your dreams. Throughout the workshop, you’ll be surrounded and supported by the Floret team, plus you’ll have the opportunity to network and connect with participants who share similar passions. You’ll leave the farm with valuable new friendships in addition to the skills, confidence, courage, and clarity you need to reach your goals.

Workshop Features:

You will receive Floret’s newly expanded Resource Book, what we affectionately refer to as “the flower bible.” This 40-page manual is packed with valuable information and resources including sample wedding proposals, detailed pricing formulas, exhaustive resource lists and other business boosting tools.

Over the course of the workshop, we’ll discuss various aspects of wedding and event planning, from client communications and pricing, to consultations and developing proposals. We’ll share tips and resources to help you build a thriving wedding and event-based business focused on seasonal flowers.

Being smart and strategic about marketing your business means more than just having a Facebook page. During the workshop you’ll learn numerous ways in which to grow and engage your target audience and maximize your online presence to best promote your floral design business.

Students will also receive a professional portrait, plus images of their arrangements for portfolio and marketing.

Together we will design and style an incredible tablescape for our farewell dinner celebration. Ashley Rodriguez, author of Date Night In and the award winning food blog, Not Without Salt will be preparing an unforgettable feast. It’s the icing on the cake of an incredible three days.
