Yesterday in our monthly Floret e-newsletter (are you signed up yet?) there was a very, very exciting announcement. We’re offering a workshop scholarship once again! Yep, one lucky person will win a seat at our August 19th & 20th Seasonal Floral Intensive here at the farm.

***You can find a full class description in the Workshops/Courses section of the site***

This class is the perfect introduction into nature-inspired floristry, running a successful flower-based business and what life on a flower farm actually looks and feels like. The class size is being kept intentionally small so we’ll have plenty of one-on-one time together and lots of opportunities to ask questions, share stories and strategize with other flower lovers.

The details:

To enter, send an email to { [email protected] } with “SCHOLARSHIP” in the subject line.

In the body of the email, in 300 words or less, please tell us a little about yourself, your business (or your dream of starting one) and why you feel the workshop would make a huge difference for you at this point in time. Include a photo of yourself holding a bouquet or bundle of seasonal flowers.

The deadline to apply is midnight PST Saturday, July 12th and the winner will be announced on the blog Monday, July 14th.

Once chosen, the winner will need to be able to get themselves here (Mount Vernon, WA, which is an hour north of Seattle) and cover lodging, but we’ll feed them, love them and treat them to this very special event.

Due to the volume of applications and our limited staff, we will not be able to accept late entries. So be sure to spread the word amongst your flower loving friends and don’t delay on getting your entry in on time. I can’t wait to hear all of your stories!

Beautiful! Love the non-traditional elements you use such as the berries and pods. Do you sometimes find these things first to set the color scheme then find the flowers that will coordinate with them?
