This past winter my flower farming, floral arranging, local flower promoting BFF Jennie Love from Love n’ Fresh Flowers flew out for a week long pow-wow here at our place. We had been email pen pals for awhile but finally decided it was high time we make the leap and meet in person.
I seriously have never talked so much, to one person, for such an extended amount of time, ever.
It was brain melting, exhilarating, exhausting, overwhelming, hilarious and above all totally inspiring. That woman is an ass kicker in the very best possible way!
To meet someone who can actually match my INSANE level of passion for flowers, and business, and ideas, and expansion, and is even game for new adventures into uncharted territory… well, it was the freaking best.
We were both so awe struck by the crazy connection and were determined to find away to stay in touch and somehow creatively challenge each other as the busy flower season overtook our lives.
After much hashing, a little arguing and a big ole high five, The Seasonal Bouquet Project was born.
“Two designers, two farms, two coasts + double dog dare.” I just love our tagline!
If you’ve been following on our floral romp through the season, then you know that each week the garden has such a different and unique blend of ingredients to offer.
Some weeks my bouquets feel brutally hard to create and others they come together like magic. What an awfully fun project it’s been so far!
About a week back we announced a flower growing – seasonal floral arranging workshop, The Seasonal Bouquet Project LIVE, that we are co-teaching at Jennie’s farm in Philly this October. The response was crazy! Not only did it sell out in record time but we had to open up 2 more workshop dates just to accommodate the waiting list of eager students.
We didn’t publicly announced either new addition, to make sure everyone waiting got a spot first but now I can officially say, there are a few seats left if you’d like to join us.
Thank you so much for all of your kinds words of encouragement and excitement surrounding this collaboration. I can’t wait for October!
